The darc awards are unique. The awards comprise of an event for independent lighting designers and are voted for by independent lighting designers. They celebrate the best in creative architectural lighting design and the winners are chosen by the lighting community… just like the oscars.

In our second year, we have refined a few things. We have also created two separate awards structures – architectural and decorative – with the decorative lighting awards being launched next week and the event taking place in London next May. The result being that we had had more entries, more votes and more countries represented. The darc night mission is to break the rules of awards ceremonies.

Light Collective are creative consultants to the darc awards.
