darc night was the launch for the darc awards. A unique concept utilising mondo*arc and darc magazines’ reputation as being the most widely read and respected lighting design publications in the world.

Once shortlists have been chosen by an international jury of lighting designers, every lighting design practice and their designers are invited to vote on their favourite projects. One designer, one vote (you can’t vote for yourself, that would be silly!), making this the only truly peer-to-peer lighting design awards in the world.

Following the voting process the awards ceremony takes place. This is an atmospheric party in a unique venue in London. Imagine light art, street food, lighting installations…

This breaks all the awards rules and will be unlike any other awards ceremony to date. Each sponsor is given the opportunity to make visible product to the audience via a series of light installations from collaborations with lighting designers.
